Born in Dubai and now based in Berlin, Portuguese-American tenor Russell C. Andrade has earned a reputation as a charismatic, powerful interpreter of demanding tenor roles.

He has headlined productions as Hoffmann (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Rienzi, and Canio (I Pagliacci), and brought to life Don José (Carmen), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Florestan (Fidelio), and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), among others.
Before relocating to Berlin from the States in 2021, Russell balanced a performing career with wide-ranging ventures: owning the acclaimed restaurant Iberian Rooster, working as a professional fine art photographer, cybersecurity professional, international businessman, and publishing three operas.
Today, Russell is composing his fourth opera, slated for release in May 2026, while continuing concerts, recitals, and photography projects across Europe.
